Overview

Level 1 is designed for first-time surfers and beginners. Sessions take place on the inside part of the wave with feet on sand, building confidence, technique and understanding of the ocean.

Progression

A clear progression from first contact with the board to confidently riding whitewater waves on your own.

  1. Session 1–2 · Equipment, safety and stance on sand. First assisted waves in the whitewater.
  2. Session 3–4 · Repetition of take-off, reading the set rhythm and learning when to start paddling.
  3. Session 5–7 · Catching your own waves, controlling speed and direction in the whitewater.
  4. Session 8–10 · Independent practice with coach feedback, choosing a safe spot and daily ocean check-in.
